C414 Aircraft - The Cessna 414 is an American light twin-engine transport aircraft, manufactured by Cessna. First flown in 1968, an improved variant was introduced as the Chancellor 414A from 1978.
The supercharged 414 was developed to appeal to owners of non-compressed twin-engine aircraft and was based on the Cessna 421 fuselage and used the wing design of the Cessna 401. unit and retractable tricycle landing gear. It is powered by two 310 hp (231 kW) Cotintal TSIO-520-J flat six-cylinder engines. The prototype, registered as N7170C, began flying on November 1, 1968, and the production aircraft was available with various seating and avionics packages. The Chancellor name has been used on models sold since 1976. An improved variant, the Cessna 414A Chancellor, was introduced in 1978 with a major redesign and enlarged wing with integrated fuel tanks and an enlarged nose to provide more cargo space.

In 1974, American Jet Industries built a turboprop engine conversion for the Cessna 414, called the Turbo Star Pressurized 414, using the Allison 250-B17B engine.

The original 414 was developed from the fuselage of the Cessna 421 and the wing of the Cessna 401. It has an external length of 11.1 m, a height of 3.5 m and a fuselage width of 1.5 m. It has a wingspan of 13.46 meters, a wing area of 20.97 square meters and a wheelbase of 3.3 meters. The 414 is a low cantilever monoplane with a standard tail section and tricycle undercarriage. The cabin is 3.5m long, 1.3m high and 1.4m wide. The aircraft can carry 8 passengers and 1-2 crew.
The aircraft is powered by two Continental TSIO-520-NB piston engines. These six-cylinder piston engines are flat-opposed, direct-drive, turbocharged, air-cooled and fuel-injected, each producing a maximum thrust of 310 horsepower. The fuel system consists of a pair of main tanks and a fuel selector, an emergency feed cut-off valve and other important parts that complete the system. The two main tanks were part of the sealed wet wing. The auxiliary fuel pump is installed outside the tank, and the fuel flow gauge is located in the cockpit, along with the fuel level gauge and the low fuel light. The aircraft also features a 28V, negative ground, DC electrical system charged by each engine's alternator, and a 24V battery.
Chancellor has a service ceiling of 30,800 feet and a maximum speed of 235 knots. It has a range of 1,328 nautical miles and a rate of climb of 1,520 feet per minute. The traveling distance is 665 m and the stopping distance is 718 m.
Maximum take-off weight is 3,061 kg and maximum curb weight is 2,697 kg.
